Rob Sturrock is a I'm a working father of two small children. In the past six years I've become deeply passionate about improving our understanding of what it means to be a dad in contemporary Australia. I believe all dads can be amazing carers of their children, but frequently our culture and systems let us down, dictating to men to be the breadwinner and not the nurturer. Through my advocacy on fatherhood I have become a commentator, writer and presenter on gender equality and healthy masculinity. One of my personal highlights was publishing my first book in 2020, "Man Raises Boy: A revolutionary approach for fathers who want to raise kind, confident and happy sons". Our public policy continues to fail working men, women and their children. Given my professional background in law, consultancy and research, I'm interested in big picture policy reform that can overhaul our social and economic systems, including in the workplace.
