Manage many vendors and thousand of items. • Analyze data, plan inventory needs, issue purchase orders with accurate information. • Track, maintain, and expedite open purchase orders to meet deadlines and service level goals. • Communicate product / vendor issues, timely and accurately, with upper management, customers, and other impacted groups. • Negotiate with vendor / customers to maximize the flow of goods, maintain inventory levels, and to resolve problematic inventories that are unproductive/obsolete,short coded, and expired. • Negotiate and resolve issue inventory for specific vendors such as Wrigley on a company-wide scale. • Monitor budgeted inventory levels and react to trends. • Manage forecasting and item information to ensure customer and vendor needs. • Work with the warehouse group on returns, vendor recalls, inbound issues and prioritization of orders. • Mentor, train, and advocate for team members improving overall team effectiveness and company success.
