Ultimately spent 7 years at Merrill Lynch in New York and Tokyo developing my M&A valuation and analytical skills. I rotated through Financial Sponsors and Global Communications Group and in between, managed to get a Wharton MBA in Entrepreneurial Management. Second stage of my career was to transition over to corporate development and operations. From 2001 to 2004, I worked for Siemens AG in New York and Munich with the responsibility of executing M&A transactions in North America and Asia for Communication and Medical equipment. In 2004, I moved to Asia to lead and mange all Siemens M&A projects in the Asia-Pacific region; established offices in Hong Kong and Beijing. In 2011, I joined Coupang as the CFO and over the 9 years, helped Coupang become the largest retailer in Korea, on-line and off line.
