My career previously saw me to be the technical lead for JCB's global electrification, being the author of JCB's global electrification and LV standards for on and off road applications. This extended to the Health and Safety side, as I Authored JCBs safe working practices. I was the 'gatekeeper' for technical sign off in LV projects globally and continually innovated in this area, working on global training from technicians in production to chief engineers. I was also the leading engineer in IoT and AI space, working on exciting research projects to make our aftersales smarter and our machines safer and more productive. I am one of the first STPA practitioners in the UK in the construction industry, and champion this approach to Functional Safety to improve the existing toolsets of SOTIF, 61508, Fault Trees etc. About me: I am an outgoing person with a strong technical background. I am a resilient and innovative thinker, often being told I don't just think outside the box, but that I have no box! I pride myself in having up to date and thorough technical understanding, and augment this knowledge with 'soft skills' to lead teams across every area of the global business. I am excited by making the world a safer place, through technical compliance, Functional Safety, and alternative energy sources. These areas of interest combine to make me skilled at complex systems engineering, project managing whole vehicle development through the lifecycle, or developing innovative technologies with research partners, usually resulting in patented solutions.
