Second, my instruction includes relating the abstract and numerical concepts of every lesson to real world applications and stressing the linkage of mathematics to other curricula, especially science. Third, I tell students they will be rewarded with success if they can establish a high degree of discipline and pride in their work as they perform assigned tasks in my classroom. Finally, and maybe the most important aspect of my teaching philosophy, is the passion and excitement I have for teaching mathematics and the desire to openly demonstrate these attributes in the classroom in order to make this subject more fun and interesting to my students. I will state unequivocally that accomplishment of these expectations in the classroom, which can serve as measurements of my effectiveness, will be diminished, if I cannot establish a rapport with each and every student that enters my classroom.
