Having travelled quite a bit around the world, I have realized that I thrive in a multi-cultural and diverse environment, as that broadens my perspectives. I’m motivated and really passionate about my research. The broad theme of my research is to understand the key controls in forming critical metals and exploring for new resources of such metals. I also study these mineralizations as a tool to fingerprint the magmatic and geodynamic processes of the early Earth. I rely on detailed field geology and field observation to achieve my research objectives. I am also proficient in geochemistry. Multiple geochemical tools like bulk-rock geochemistry (major, trace, PGE), isotope geochemistry (Sm-Nd, Pb-Pb, and Rb-Sr) and mineral chemistry (Electron Microprobe Analyzer- EPMA; Laser Ablation ICPMS- LA ICPMS) are used in my research. I firmly believe in empathy, and I embrace diversity. I try to bring about a positive difference through my research, student supervision, and teaching. I feel immense satisfaction in nurturing and motivating students, which has turned out to be a significant learning experience for me, as now I’ve learned to be more sensitive and patient.   Things that make me happy are travelling and listening to music, especially, folk and country music. I absolutely love the Himalayas not only for its natural beauty but also for the warmth of its people. I appreciate the blend of the tribal and Tibetan cultures in the mountains. I also like to visit places that offer a perfect confluence of heritage, history and culinary diversity.
