I have been with PwC for 22 years. After starting with the firm’s Deals practice in London, United Kingdom I transferred to PwC in New York in late 2006. I have also completed a three-year tour to PwC’s Deals practice in Toronto, Canada from mid-2012 to mid-2015, where I focused primarily on mid-market private equity and corporate clients operating in Canada, and US clients investing in Canada. I have deep international experience and have advised clients on buying and/or selling companies in more than twenty different countries on six continents. This has provided me with a strong global perspective that enables me to bring valuable insights to clients as they contemplate a transaction. I combine a high level of energy with a hands-on approach to help clients achieve success in pursuing their contemplated acquisitions and divestitures. I believe that delivering deal value to clients requires a thorough understanding of commercial issues as well as detailed analytics. I focus on trusted relationships and clear communication throughout the deal process to avoid surprises. I was born and raised in South Africa where I obtained a B. Compt. Hons. degree from Free State University with majors in Accounting, Audit and Tax. I’m a Chartered Accountant in South Africa. I am passionate about using my time and talents to support and develop people in our firm and our community. I am actively involved in training and recruitment at PwC. Externally, I serve as Treasurer and elder on the Board of Marble Collegiate Church in New York City, and as Board member of two non-profit organizations, Free Arts NYC and the New York City Aids Memorial. I am married to a wonderful husband whom I especially admire for his entrepreneurship and business skills. We are keen hikers as well as proud and enthusiastic dog parents.
