Reinier is a Yoga Alliance certified E-RYT 500 Yoga teacher and owner of Jai Yoga, which is a Yoga Alliance RYS 200 yoga school. Main Ashtanga Yoga teachers of Reinier are Petri Raisanen, Sharath Jois, Govinda Kai, Claudia Pradella and Katiza Satya. Reinier started teaching yoga in 2010. In 2012 he decided to focus his life completely on teaching of the ashtanga yoga practice. In 2022 Reinier completed the Pranayama Teacher Training of the Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute in India under the guidance of Sri Sudhir Tiwari. Together with my passion to teach Ashtanga I'm now also certified to teach pranayama (breath control) in line with the tradition of the Kaivalyadhama Lineage. Activities of Reinier in Jai Yoga are currently focussed on the following subjects: - Teaching 10 classes weekly. Part of this is a 4 days a week Ashtanga Mysore program on week days from 6.15-9.00 and Sunday led class primary serie at SportCity Vlietlijn in Leiden. - Coordinating and technically supervising the Ashtanga and Ashtanga Mysore program at SportCity Vlietlijn in Leiden. - Lead teacher in the Teacher Training program of Jai Yoga. A ‘Basic Teacher Training Yoga Alliance RYS 200 program. This program has no more places available and runs with 12 students from March 2022 until October 2023. The next training will start in March 2024. Before Reinier was teaching a teacher Intensive program at Centre of Body & Mind in Sassenheim from 2014 till 2019. After coaching 3 groups of students through this course in 2020 this program has been restructured and is now taught in Reinier’s own Yogaschool Jai Yoga as a 2-years Teacher Training program.
