Throughout my course studies I have participated in volunteer opportunities related to education as well as a field experience. I currently work for the Boys and Girls Club of Central Minnesota as a youth guidance worker in an elementary school. The Boys and Girls Club provides a structured safe environment for children to go to after their school day has ended. One of my main accomplishments while working here is the fact that although I’ve been working there a short time I have managed to make a connection with all of the children I come in contact with. This is my first job that focuses on what I want to do when I have graduated so I take a lot of pride in my position. I am always watching out for the children and helping them make the right decisions. I am a very hard working person; my jobs in the past have required me to work hard, fast, and precise. If I were to mess something up more than likely something else would be messed up and it would require a lot of work to fix it. I always complete projects by the time they are due and complete all of the requirements. I am blessed with a positive attitude and will always try to find the good in something, even if it seems nothing good will come out of it. I am a very flexible person who deals well with change and I am prepared to make accommodations when necessary.
