Always the enthusiastic one, I won contests in middle and high school for selling the most magazine subscriptions or selling some type of product. When I finally entered the “real world”, I followed my teenage passion and sold Computers at a local store. I quickly learned the emerging computer market and how to work with customers, and then went to work for a local computer retail chain that was growing into consumer electronics, where I adapted to Home Theater and Video Cameras. During this time, I learned about packaging systems together and providing customers with complete solutions instead of just one item. After several years, I joined another local company looking to move into new channels like Catalog and Mail-Order. Now instead of talking directly to a customer in person, I used the telephone to sell products to customers all over the country. Instead of a handshake or smile, it was a fax or voicemail, but I always remembered the magic word….. Thank You. Technology in products and how to work with customers was evolving very quickly. I went to work for Visual Interactive Dynamics for Inside Sales, and their customer base was consumers to business clients. I was also dealing with Educational, Government and Industrial customers thru e-commerce. I wrote proposals for complete systems and A/V equipment for school districts. Air Starter Components involved a specific manufactured product for engine applications. Smart Power Systems manufactures a unique patented technology to keep today's computer based systems up and running. Over the years, I was able to keep up with product technology and selling techniques in a fast paced world. Even though I had a lot of product knowledge, I spoke to customers at their level. Return business was important, and my customers would always come back to me because I had built a trusted relationship and listened carefully to their needs.
