Immigrated to Australia in May 1976. Employed by TRANSPEC in Melbourne who are heavily involved in supplying equipment to the Transport Industry. Mechanic in workshop. Specialising in repairs to ZF power steering and gearboxes for trucks and coaches. Late 1977 I transferred to Transpec's Queensland branch. (Brisbane). Workshop - repairing ZF steering gear, fitting Turn-tables and guards to prime movers, repairing Edbro tipping hoists on tip trucks and semi trailers etc. 1979 I had an opportunity to move into Sales selling BPW axles & suspension and Edbro tipping hoists ( transport equipment) Unfortunately, Retrenched in 1983. (Business down turn nationally). Started employment with Ateco-Hyquip (Wacol) to sell Palfinger truck mounted cranes and Hyster forklifts. 1985 offered a position back at Transpec Employed to sell KUBOTA Petrol & Diesel Power Products and establish a dealer network through Northern Australia down to Sydney. In this role for aprox 6 years (extensive travel), then offered a position at head office Melbourne selling specialised equipment. Vogal, Edbro tipping hoists & PTO pumps. (3 years) I was Home sick for Qld, Move back to Brisbane in 1991 secured position with Lister-Petter for 8 months prior to joining Power Equipment in July 1992. Establish dealer network through Northern Australia selling the range of YANMAR Diesel engines & Power product range. Alpina brush cutters and chain saws. Initially worked from home for aprox 5 years. Selling both Industrial and Marine engine ranges. Company took over Markwell brothers in Brisbane where we established Qld branch. Branch relocated to Coomera on the Gold Coast. Specialised in Marine pleasure craft and commercial propulsion engine sales to Dealer network & OEM boat builders.
