  Ravikanth Tatipudi is a I am a career Civil Servant belonging to Indian Administrative Service(IAS) with more than 20 years of experience in Public Policy making and execution. Presently, I am working as Principal Secretary, Medical Education Department, Government of Rajasthan. My main Job is to set up a medical college and a nursing college in every district so as to produce enough man power to take care of tertiary health care in the state. Implementation of Right to Health, Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme to achieve universalisation of health care in the State is another area. As CMD RVPN (RAJASTHAN TRANSCO) and Chairman, RRECL( Renewable Energy Corporation, RAJASTHAN), I had a dual responsibility of managing TRANSCO and developing transmission infrastructure for evacuation of renewable energy from desert belt of Rajasthan. My focus was on emerging sectors such as Green Hydrogen, Fuel Cell technology etc., Prior to this, I briefly worked as Principal Secretary Industries. Stints in Finance Department as Secretary, budget and Secretary Finance(Revenue) come in handy for me to devise fiscal incentives for the industry. While I was growing up in rural India, I always felt that the Government was too complex and not people friendly. The quality and promptness of service delivery depended on one's social status and connections. I thought, the only way to change this, is to become a part of it and change it for better. I am fortunate to be a member of Civil Service with enormous scope to demystify and simplify the Government to Common people. I love simplifying procedures and applying Information Technology for easy access of Government services to all. Having worked in Districts for many years as District Collector, I am aware of the situation at grass root level in various sectors. Exposure to Caste dynamics, grass root politics give me added strength in designing relevant and practical public policies. Stint at Chief Minister`s Office gave me the bird`s eye view of State Apparatus.
