I have worked as a Mental Health and Addiction Counselor in the Human Services field for over 25 years in a variety of roles including residential care, street outreach, PSECA (Protection of Sexually Exploited Children’s Act) work, crisis Intervention, youth and family work, outpatient counseling, day treatment addiction rehabilitation, assessment and mental health work and as a facilitator and mentor in the Health Canada funded “In Roads Program”. For the past 20 years I have worked for Alberta Health Services (former ADDAC) in a variety of roles supporting youth and their families. My desire is to support people in their process of healing, change and recovery. I love working in the field of Mental Health and Addiction and believe my “years in the field”, my trauma informed lens and my humanitarian approach is evident in the passionate ways in which I approach all people.
