Ranjith Balan has also been the IT Advisor of Guruvayur and Travancore Devaswom Boards. He was the Executive Committee Member of GTECH (Group of Technology companies in Kerala) and the Member of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Kerala chapter. He is serving as the Director of Institute of Social Research and action (ISRA), a non-governmental organization working on issues affecting the urban and rural civil societies. He was the first IT Cell Chairman of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee. He completed his B-Tech in Computer Engineering from Government Engineering College, Trichur and has more than 20 years of experience in the IT Industry.
