Within this time frame I have proven to be committed to the safety, quality and the service needed for continuous improvement within our plant. In 2008 I accepted the roll of People Development coordinator working with management staff and operations I helped in the design of a training system for People development, this required that we develop new procedures, up-date the out of date written procedures and develop Comprehensive Work instructions. These work instructions were developed for all our training needs, starting with Lock out Tag out, Confined space training, Job/ task specific training including (PPE) requirements throughout the plant. This is an ongoing process in our Continuous Improvement program. 2010 the People Development Pillar was up and running (We achieved a WCM audit of three, the highest being Four) and needed very little to sustain I accepted the role of WCM Safety Site champion We developed a “New safety Culture in Management” and designed a safety infrastructure that incorporated all managers through to the new JHSC bringing everyone in the plant to the table; this role incorporates Environmental, Health and Safety. In 2010 the WCM safety audit scored us very low a score of 57.25 across the board, the audit in August 2013 scored us at 79 a spectacular achievement that showed an Incredible Improvement across Safety, Health and Environment and has shown us that Safety Cultures can be changed with the right models in place.
