Currently, I am serving at Kamoto Copper Company in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where I lead the implementation of a robust Enterprise Risk Management Framework. This involves providing strategic direction to enhance enterprise risk management and assurance, establishing a proficient Risk and Assurance department, and developing a comprehensive training strategy to build organizational capabilities. Prior to this I was the Manager: Integrated Risk at Anglo Platinum based in Johannesburg where I was responsible for facilitating integration of Risk Management Frameworks within BU Functions and advising Joint Ventures on the implementation amongst various other roles. In my previous role as a Senior Specialist in Operational Risk at the same company, I ensured the effective implementation of Operational Risk Management frameworks for multiple sites across South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Mpumalanga. My responsibilities included facilitating the analysis of Priority Unwanted Events (PUEs), validating critical control monitoring routines, and reporting and tracking ORM KPIs. As a Principal in Risk and Governance at South32 – Coal South Africa, I provided direction and training on consistent application of the Risk Management process. I governed adherence to material risk standards, led the implementation of improvement projects related to Material Risk Management, and maintained risk registers for operations and projects. During my tenure as an HSE Auditor at Murray and Roberts – Power & Energy, I successfully managed and coordinated internal HSE audit functions, ensuring compliance with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards. I implemented corrective and preventative actions, tracked their effectiveness, and investigated audit findings from external audits. My commitment to ongoing professional development is evident through certifications in Risk Management, OHSAS 18001:2007 Implementation & Auditing, Frontline Supervision, MHSA Mine Health and Safety Act, and ISO 9001 Lead Auditing.
