With that said, I graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems. While there I was also enrolled in an internship for the College of Business as a PC Support Technician. This was my first professional role in the IT field and was a good introduction. After graduation I moved to Boise, Idaho and began working for the St. Lukes Health System as a Desktop Technician. That position was advertised only as a temporary position and I was transferred to the Service Desk after a couple of months. At the Service Desk I was primarily responsible for answering incoming calls from employees of St. Lukes and resolving or escalating their issues as needed. This ranged from common printer and desktop issues to application support for various programs.
