During my doctoral studies I've synthesized various metal sulfide nanoparticle (CdS, PbS, SnS2, Cd1-xZnxS) with different morphology by thermal decomposition approach using either multiple or single molecule precursors. Detailed optical characterization has been carried out for the synthesized metal sulfide nanoparticles. The metal sulfide nanoparticles have been explored for different applications such as photocatalytic degradation of toxic dyes, reduction of toxic metals and electrocatalytic oxidation of dopamine. My masters’ thesis in Chemistry is based on “Synthesis of nanostructured bilayered semiconductor thin films for photoelectrochemical splitting of water for hydrogen production”. I’ve synthesized WO3/SrTiO3 bilayered heterojunctions for their application in photoelectrochemical splitting of water for hydrogen production. I’ve also worked as a project assistant at CSIR lab on an industrial project “up-gradation of Residual Fuel Oil”. Given an opportunity, I want to collaborate with different scientist and scholars to expand my knowledge.
