I am a show court line umpire at Wimbledon and have officiated matches involving Serena Williams, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, Andy Murray etc. Any other free time is spent writing poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction. I have been published in multiple international anthologies, magazines and newspapers. My writings have featured on the Medium homepage many times. All of the above may seem unrelated at first impression but the cross-pollination of skills is often useful. If you can concentrate on every ball hit in a high-pressure tennis match on the Wimbledon Centre Court, the stamina helps in the focus required to solve a tough work problem as well :-)
