Insurance found me. Over 35 years ago I walked into an independent agency without any knowledge of insurance. I was young, I learned quickly. I realized that insurance was really interesting, and I was good at helping others understand their needs. Fast forward 23 years and a new opportunity has been presented to me. Along with many volunteer participation events, I have been a member of the Johnston Chamber and board, Chairperson of the Johnston Educator Appreciation event; member, past-president and board member of the Des Moines Kiwanis and board member and volunteer of the Des Moines Kiwanis Miracle League. Making a difference in the lives of kids is more than volunteering, it really warms my heart and is truly inspiring. I look forward to serving in a role that will encourage staff to be the best versions of themselves and work with our agency systems to support them to their fullest ability.
