On the NHS COVID Pass project, I played a critical role as a developer, responsible for performance testing the service. The project involved working with the C# programming language, utilizing .NET Core, and operating within an Azure environment. In my current role as a Splunk developer on the NHS ITOC team, I work to provide real-time monitoring to NHS services and play a critical role in ensuring the cyber security of the national healthcare system. In both projects I have worked on Agile teams following SCRUM principles to ensure efficient and effective development and, more importantly, delivery. Outside of my day-to-day responsibilities, I am involved in Netcompany's Carbon Plan Working Group, where I coordinate tree planting, conservation, and maintenance events in communities local to our offices in Leeds and London. Together, we are working on strategies to push the business towards its goal of being net zero by 2040. My passion for giving back to my community extends beyond environmental stewardship. As a mentor for the Us Programme, I worked to educate and inspire young females from disadvantaged backgrounds to break boundaries and achieve their career goals. I have also volunteered with the Ahead Partnership, where I helped lead a West Yorkshire Green Skills Youth Event to get students thinking about green skills and green jobs of the future. I graduated from The University of Sheffield with a first class honours Master's degree in Computer Science in 2021, and I am excited to continue making a difference both in my work at Netcompany and in my contributions to society.
