Prebantha Moodley is a I am a process engineer, mentor and teacher seeking to drive tangible positive impacts. Sustainability and the environment is my core passion. I am bringing over a decade of process engineering experience and this passion together to contribute to practical industry relevant solutions through my doctoral research in, sustainability in process engineering. It is my belief that through deliberate thinking, industrial water use challenges can be addressed and move towards a circular paradigm. I also believe that driving the sustainability agenda in heavy industry requires that the engineering profession thinks differently. To effect this mind shift I combine my deep desire for knowledge sharing and coaching, with nurturing the next generation of engineering professionals. My own self-development practices have provided insightful empathy into the challenges faced by tertiary students today. I have found that sincere and honest engagement has been the most effective leadership tool in getting the absolute best out the students and people in general. I am grateful to the fourth-year class of 2020 for teaching me this.
