As an immunologist, I am diversifying my experiences in multidisciplinary research at the interface of cellular- & molecular- immunology, -neurobiology and -oncology in the capacity of a Project Lead at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Here, I am assembling a team of knowledge experts from multiple disciplines to drive my projects with a collaborative, complementation and resource sharing model to accelerate patient centric research in an economically more feasible, viable and paced up manner. This plunge is an extension of my previous research immersions in human liver cancer immunology at Translational Immunology Institute- SingHealth-DukeNUS, and malaria immunology with strong thrust on myeloid cell biology during my Ph.D. studies at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. On the entrepreneurial front, as a committee member of TERMIS-EU BPC, I volunteered to contribute to the mission of science and entrepreneurship across Europe and Asia. Concurrently, as a SMART Innovation Fellow, I was engrossed in learning the business fundamentals and pathways leading to biotech venture creation and contributed to develop blueprint business model for NanoLimus team. In addition, apart from my research activities in immunology, as a part of my extra-PhD journey, my entrepreneurial mindset led to my involvement with a genome insertion technology based entrepreneurial initiatives “Genome Editing” and “LambdaGen” that featured as the only Asian semifinalist team at a global accelerator platform “Onestart-Europe-2015”, London. This engagement in scientific entrepreneurship and business development training equipped me to challenge my abilities to think about translational aspects of science with an intent to make tangible impacts on healthcare. On a different note, I have facilitated a contingent of youths in a very experiential Social Entrepreneurship Program- Jagriti Yatra 2011.
