I have been working for 15 years holding job titles as a Process operator, process Artisan and Production Forman, with my current title as Process training practitioner. I have successfully co-ordinated major plant shutdowns (turnarounds), commissioning’s and projects like vessel replacements and new developments within the plants. Managing the shift personnel and plant co-ordination with maintenance activities daily. My current role includes, classroom training , facilitation and conducting of assessments, utilising ELMT (electronical Learning Management Tools) to monitor training. Giving OJT training to candidates progressing to higher competency levels. Co-ordination of safety course bookings and attendances my area of responsibilities. I've been part of the recruiting process of new employees and talent management of the team. In 5yrs of delivering training, I managed to cut training cost by 40%, by implementing more efficient processes. As a trainer I managed to train new employees to obtain "Leaner of the year" awards for two consecutive years. Received an exceptional merit in 2019 year’s performance. I like to be hand’s on when performing more critical tasks, even though I can manage groups to delegate other tasks and play my part within the group. I believe in doing the work properly the first time to the set standard, avoiding costly and timely errors. As a Forman I managed 13 employees on shift, with small to lager groups of employees as a trainer. I have managed 28 learners on in the learnership program and are also responsible for 135 employees technical training on a set out training Matrix and then safety training co-ordination (course scheduling) for the employees. I’ve facilitated development and updating of plant training material and designing assessments tools for the candidates to be trained on.
