In terms of behavioral health and clinical practice, I am interested in the role of implicit cognition, intrigued by questions such as: -What is the role of implicit cognition in health behaviors?-How does implicit cognition impact clinical practices?-How can techniques such as mindfulness and positive psychology address barriers to recovery posed by implicit cognition?-Does implicit cognition reflect societal constructs, an individual's "true self", or both?However, I also strongly believe that researchers must be able to communicate their findings to not only a professional audience but to also a general audience in order for their findings to be of greater benefit. Therefore, my professional interests also address science writing endeavors in order to make psychology and health literature more accessible to a general audience.
