Philip Maldonado Email & Phone Number | My career began in NYC at The Metropolitan Opera House in 1979 as a Dresser for 42 Chorus Members I also had the privilege to have worked as a Dresser for Maestro Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo, and worked on productions like "TOSCA" for Mr. Franco Zeffirelli. and Many other Shows threw 1984. In 1984 I moved to Los Angeles to further my career in Theater worked with “Martha Graham Dance Company." In 1986, I was honored to work for Mr. John Golden at "Western Costume Company" in Hollywood Working Stock and Rentals, where I was educated in Learning the History of Costuming. Western Costumes was also the gateway to the Film and TV Industry. In 1989, I worked for Costume Designer Wayne Finkelman on a project called "Scrooged" with Bill Murray. i also worked for Costume Designer Bob Blackman on STAR TREK TNG. My career launched to Movies of the week, Sit-Com's and Commercials. Worked on Features like "TITANIC" which Won 11 ACADEMY AWARDS including Best Costumes by Designer Deborah L. Scott, PEARL HARBOR, THE SALTON SEA and many others. I was Awarded “COSTUME DESIGNERS GUILD AWARD” Nominated for Excellence in Television in 2000 for "MAGNIFICENT SEVEN” Dan Moore Costume Designer;"PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 4" Costume Designer PENNY ROSE., Most Current project worked on "THE VEIL" Costume Designer Shoshana Rubin, Director Phil Joanou. Most current project was for Legendary productions "Great Wall" in Beijing China personal Costumer for Mr. Matt Damon. Release in 2017 My Experience includes: Principle and Star Dresser / Set Costuming / Period Costumes/ Organizing Costume Dept/ Breaking down Scripts/ Setting up fittings/ Acquiring research materials /Shopping and Renting Costumes/ Aging, Blood prep / Multi Tasking able to adjust to a different situations or conditions and a Team player.
