REHABILITATION COUNSELLING Completing the Graduate Diploma (Rehab. Counselling in 1991 and transferring to Sydney in 1993 I joined Commonwealth Rehabilitation Services where I learnt: • Vocational testing and assessment and reporting of transferable skills for ‘persons with a permanent disability’ • Consulting employers when assisting them back into the workforce during ‘work trials’. OHS & RISK MANAGEMENT In 1995 I gained my first OHS Manager role at Prestige Property Services (Contract cleaners, Security Services and Construction Labour Hire). The skills I learnt were: • Developed and implemented OHSIM System for successful Self Insurance Application saving workers compensation premium • OHS Coordinator / WC Claims Officer • OHS Trainer • Risk Management negotiation with legal and insurer stakeholders • Company OHS Representative (WorkCover Committee, Self Insurance Association, Workers, Comp. and Public Liability Claims Review Meetings) STATE & NATIONAL MANAGEMENT • Trained, consulted and negotiated with senior management, insurers, legal teams, Rehabilitation Providers, employees, contractors, external consultants • Developed and implemented OHSIM Systems (Prestige Property Services and APN Outdoor) OHS & QA AUDITOR & CONSULTING • Developed OHS tenders • Auditing OHS & Q systems • Systems Documentation
