During my time here, I have developed a deep passion for helping clients prepare for and live in retirement. I also enjoy helping my clients envision the legacy they want to leave behind by protecting the wealth they've worked hard to accumulate. Throughout my career here, I have been equipped to do just that, including by earning the CFP professional designation in 2011. I was born and raised just outside of New Orleans, LA. After receiving a B.A. in speech communication from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2000, I worked for a small educational company in Chicago, where I helped schools implement reading curriculum that focused on developing critical thinking skills. I then spent a year in Argentina, where I taught a multitude of subjects in a bilingual high school. Once I returned to the United States, I applied to Edward Jones and began what has become a true joy, in that I get to work with some incredible people and see so many of my clients become like family to me. Within Edward Jones, I've also been able to train, coach and mentor countless other financial advisors and branch teams. I've served in many leadership roles to equip branch teams to grow their practices and provide the highest level of client care. I am happily married to my wife, Laura, and together we have three children. When I'm not spending time with my family, you'll probably find me flying an airplane out of Raleigh-Durham International Airport, as I hold Private, Commercial, and Flight Instructor Certificates and an Instrument Rating. I'm also involved at Providence Church in Raleigh. Partnering with me to provide the highest level of client service is Amy O'Brien.
