Mechanical Systems Rotation • Researched, designed, and prototyped drag reduction equipment. • Photographed and documented plane production issues. • Drafted reports for optimization of plane electrical and plumbing systems. Airworthiness and Certification • Coordinated certification projects across multiple engineering departments and management levels. • Contributed to showing of compliance to civil aviation authorities, specifically CFR Part 25 (FAA) and CS 25 (EASA). • Drafted airworthiness documents for aircraft sustaining efforts.⋅ Executed campus outreach effort to raise funds for the implementation of a clean water system in a Ugandan village. ⋅ Recruited 30 new members to the program and worked to ensure optimal placement in work committees.• Collaborated with graduate students and research engineers on the assembly/disassembly of flame turbulence combustion rigs. • Authored technical research paper analyzing the advantages/disadvantages of high and low bypass turbofans. • Repaired combustion chambers, thermocouples, coolant systems, and electrical wiring in preparation for high risk experimentation. • Maintained accurate inventory of experiment components such as piping, fasteners, and mass spectrometers.
