In this role I manage inventory and provide support to our global sales force for more than a dozen OEMs that we distribute for with a combined annual sales of about 2.5 million. I also oversee the repair process for one of our largest distributorships with an annual repair spend of more than 20 Million. Our most exciting work to date was creating a system to efficiently handle our customers’ repair business by working with our IT department and automating most of the processes. It was not only challenging and gratifying to create and help initiate the process, but also rewarding to see the results. Before joining AAR, I worked for another aviation company — Signature Flight Support - and was lucky enough to work with an amazing team that taught me the ropes of the industry from an operational standpoint. I believe in lifelong learning, and am always going to seminars, taking classes on Lynda.com or viewing Ted Talks. I’m truly passionate about my work and always eager to connect with others in aviation or other related industries. Although I enjoy all aspects of my job, my favorite part is the interaction with my co-workers and OEM partners. It’s been a fantastic learning experience for me, as well as offering many opportunities to share my knowledge with new hires as they find their way into our business. I have an Associate’s degree from Daley College in Chicago in Aviation Maintenance and completed the airframe and power plant courses as well as ground school for a private pilot license.
