Reportages of religious/cultural festivals in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal and India between the years 1972-1982, Retired from Pro Photography in 1982, taking it up as an amateur again only in 2003. Working on a project documenting "usnow" just for myself in my spare time. The idea for the project first took root when we discovered they had demolished the town centre for a shopping mall. I began to record the site under developement , but gradually became more and more fascinated by the altered behaviour of my fellows, who were rerouted all the time through visually quite intricate pathways . And this led to portraying our society of shoppers,- how we decide how we are seen by others in public. It's for a book and is seen really in my mind's eye as an exhibition on a state of the art monitor in a museum (the best, the "iconic" images) with the others being assembled into a stop-motion movie. Teaching experience goes from Adult evening classes at Barnet Art College (1974-5) through LII documentary photography tutor in Derby 1975-6 to Head of the Department of Photography in Jordan at Yarmuk University from 1983-4.( I resigned to go back to India and learn to meditate). Single parent of twins, divorced 2003.
