Currently I work at ASML, developing optical modules for photolithography applications. Prior to joining ASML I completed my PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York in May 2017. At Cornell my doctoral research focused on the development of Nanophotonic Force Microscopy, an optical technique for measuring the size and surface interactions (ie. "stickiness") of nanoparticles in liquid environments relevant for applications in pharmaceuticals and energy. I was also involved in efforts to develop optofluidic chemical reactors to convert CO2 into hydrocarbons. This effort advanced to the semifinal round of the NRG Cosia Carbon X Prize. As a graduate student, I worked closely with two startup companies, Optofluidics and Dimensional Energy, commercializing technologies related to my research. Previously, I earned my M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University in 2015, and my B.S. degree from Boston University in May 2012.
