I am responsible for right of way management and obtaining rights, such as excavation and occupancy permits, public grants, licenses and easements for outside plant FiOS facilities like conduit, manholes, poles, cables and enclosures - which are the carrying plant and equipment for FiOS fiber optic cables and drops required to serve FiOS customers and clients in Boston, Massachusetts. Working with the City of Boston and other public entities to obtain permits is a big part of my work. I am part of the Boston One Fiber Engineering Team, which is a very special and privileged assignment for me and it took a lot of work to get here. In my career at Verizon, I have worked in Outside Plant Engineering as an outside plant engineer, a facilities planner, and a right of way specialist. My favorite Verizon credo is "We believe integrity is at the core of who we are", as everyday we impact not only the customer but the world by providing wireline and wireless telecommunications, broadband internet and data services, cable television and content for people, communities, businesses and government. What I like most about Verizon is the people...together we make progress everyday...and I really like getting half off our family cell phone plan :)
