Fifi & Romeo, her Los Angeles-based lifestyle brand, was sold worldwide: Barneys New York, Neiman-Marcus, Kirna Zabête – (SoHo shop-in-shop), Fred Segal, Browns in London, Quartier 206 in Berlin, and mono-brand shops around Japan! Her iconic dog collection celebrated in Legally Blonde became a worldwide sensation and appearing as a guest on Oprah's Christmas Show was the ultimate milestone for the designer and artist. Early in my design process, I love to ask clients what their favorite hotel is and why. That question always gives me a peek into how "they see" and "feel" things. I naturally gravitate towards ease of lifestyle and warmth. I joke that "the doctor will see you now" when I encounter soullessly staged apartments or showroom-like homes; this doesn't resonate with my delicate instincts as a creative. I suppose that the "je ne sais quoi" trait in a home always fascinates me. I love "process" and quite fancy guiding clients to discover and embrace decorative arts with provenance and exceptional artistry that is not common to most. These principles bring a sophisticated whimsy and cinematic illusion by creating intentional, soulful interiors in their homes… this is my ultimate walkway as an intuitive designer and artist." Holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of North Texas, Penelope's formal education has been the inspired cornerstone of her never-ending artistic exploration.
