At Kellogg Company, I held the position of Vice President Human Resources for Global Functions, contributing to the success of a massive 25B Global Consumer Products organization. My influence continued at Johnson Controls where I was the Vice President of HR for both the Americas, and Asia & Europe regions, managing sizable teams and complex HR operations. Earlier roles include Baxter Healthcare as Sr. Director of HR for Global IT and Global R&D; and HR Manager at GE Healthcare where I cut my global teeth supporting teams in China, India, Israel and Japan. Two critical experiences in my career proved foundational to my success. Firstly, I didn't start my career in HR, I started in Consumer Products Sales working for General Foods, later Kraft Foods. I was a Sales Rep., a Key Account Manager, and lastly a Regional Sales Manager. Secondly, I joined Continental Airlines and played a critical role as a member of the turnaround team pulling Continental Airlines out of bankruptcy. The learnings, practical experiences, large-scale change, and leading teams was foundational in how I would approach my HR career. The experience of having a 40,000-person reduction in force (think about it), and transforming a business from "worst to first" was an experience of a lifetime, one that well informed my career. I cut my HR teeth while a student, at Principal Financial Group in Corporate Training with a focus on Leadership Training. My international perspective was initiated by studies in French Language and Literature at Université Paul Valéry - Montpellier III, a BA in International Management & French, and further studies at Université Paris-Sorbonne. These proved foundational to my global, cultural sensibilities and adaptability, all being instrumental in my successes across diverse industries.
