After narrowly missing out on the prestigious launch Editor post at NatMag's Esquire Magazine in London, he went to edit Playboy in South Africa, and then Men's Health. Men's Health was the most successful magazine launch in SA and Paul built the magazine into a best-selling, super-profitable, award-winning powerhouse. He left after editing 50 issues and five years at the helm. He spent the next 15 years managing his own companies, which have honed his business skills and brought profit and loss into sharp focus, an experience he describes as his own personal MBA. He is also a celebrated author with ten books to his credit including his first, "Kate Bush - an illustrated biography" (1982) now a collector's item on e-bay, his fatherhood bestseller - "FABDAD", shortly to be available online, and the dating hit "Right Woman, Right now" (Piatkus) 2006.
