His role involves Management and development of the Incubation Centre, ensuring that the Rubicon Centre team delivers to its clients a tailor made service. The Rubicon delivers the New Frontiers, Exxcel, Pinc and number EU initiatives to the South West Region. The Rubicon Centre is now Ireland’s largest Incubation Centre, with over 50 Companies located at its Campus facility. It has an Alumni of 250 Companies, and has helped them secure Investment of €110 million, and create more than 2500 jobs. As part of his role he works on a 1:1 base with Companies to develop their projects from concept, and his work includes securing finance for companies. Prior to joining the Rubicon Centre, he ran his Own Venture Consultancy Business supporting Companies across the Region, as well as delivering Training and Mentoring Supports on behalf of the Development Agencies. During his career he has worked for CorkBIC as their Linkage Manager for their Electronics and ICT Companies. He has keen interest in Early Stage Company Development, working with Entrepreneurs who want to take their first steps. He has worked full-time in this area for over 20 years. From an early age Paul has been involved in the Indigenous Sector, working with Companies who are engaged in Manufacturing and ICT serving FDI Companies in Ireland. He worked in the establishment of Incubation and Enterprise Centres, including the establishment of the Dingle Business Park, NSC, Midleton and Carrigaline Business Parks and Acorn Business Campus and has acted as advisor to a number of other Incubation Projects. He sits on the Advisory Board of a number of Irish Technology Companies, and in 2015 was a member of the Dept. of Enterprise, Innovation, and Jobs Working Group on Mentoring. Prior to working in Enterprise Development Roles he worked in Procurement Roles with a number of FDI Companies.
