Starting my career as a graduate at Arup, I was exposed to a wide range of projects, both new-build and refurbishment, with a years site experience on the A650 Bingley Relief Road. Moving onto BSCP in 2005, I made a conscious decision to move more into 'Building Structures' gaining a vast variety of knowledge and experience under the knowledge and guidance of some great engineers, bcoming chartered through both ICE and IStructE in 2011. 2014 saw me move roles again, with an opportunity to join Dudleys, initially as an Associate, before taking the opportunity to join company founder Andy Walker as a Director in 2019 along with Peter Dixon. In addition to the day-to-day engineering, I also take on roles including IT Manager, H&S Manager and have therefore been instrumental in obtaining and renewing our CHAS, Cyber Essentials, and Investors in People accreditations. Outside of a work, I enjoy spending time with my family - especially getting away in our caravan. I can also be found from time to time on the golf course, albeit I get very good value from the green fees in terms of the number of shots that I need to get around the course! I am also a committed Christian (http://www.christianityexplored.org/what-is-christianity), and an active member of our local church, joining the leadership team (Eldership) in 2012 with responsibility for all aspects of the church life.
