I have a high level of familiarity with the Linux ecosystem. I am an avid user of the Linux command line (bash) and the incredibly powerful GNU tools. I’ve been interested in Linux since a young age, and I’ve used numerous distributions since the year 2000 for fun and learning. In 2002, I’ve voluntarily participated in the Debian-BR project, translating .deb packages descriptions from English to Brazilian Portuguese, which was my first experience with the open-source development cycle and professional community. I have worked with commonly used data-center and web server tools, mainly on the Linux ecosystem (Bind, Apache, IPTables, Cacti, Nagios…) I’m proficient in English and am comfortable with writing and conversation on an advanced level.
