Icestasy Projects Private Limited is a child midwifed by all that experience, frustration, optimism and of course, ambition! Passion is all good. But social standing is a totally different proposition. How could I convince my family that chucking a corporate career and restarting at the bottom of an industry that I had no idea of (except as a consumer, of course!), was a smart decision? The solution: create something that has never been created before and also such that it is the best in the world! Today, Icestasy is by far the most innovative ice-cream creator in the country (by a country mile) and its ice-creams are comparable with the best anyone has ever tasted anywhere in the world (that’s not my opinion; it comes from multiple respectable industry veterans). It’s not without reason that we are a preferred partner to a lot of India’s leading restaurant brands. The only reason why most people haven’t yet heard of us is that we have chosen to focus on the B2B part of our business, away from the spotlight that accompanies a B2C consumer product. We have also managed to bring on board a team of highly motivated individuals who are so committed to and so passionate about the company’s dreams that they give us founder-promoters a run for our money. And with some effort and a lot of luck, we have successfully created an enabling atmosphere that let’s all these individuals prosper (in every sense of the term) while they contribute to our (I hope so!) prosperity. Having firmly established its foundations, Icestasy is now on a growth trajectory; and the opportunities continue to be boundless. Expansion of our base within Mumbai, branching out to other cities/towns or even internationally, seriously making a play for the B2C space, diversifying the product portfolio into healthier alternatives as well as into allied products, etc. are all fair game at this moment and our only constraints are the ones we have placed on ourselves: that whatever we do shall bear the same stamps of quality and innovation that we have started being known for (albeit in our limited universe).
