I viewed sales as bothering receptionists and trying to convince someone to spend money on my product they probably didn't need. I am terrible at "strong-arming" people and don't like confrontation, so naturally I felt I would perform terribly in a sales position. The game is about identifying those who have a need and whether or not I can offer a suitable solution for them. My job at Tedesco Building Services is to relay our strengths and the value driven service we offer to the Metro-Detroit community. This means finding businesses who are unhappy with their current cleaning service, are looking to outsource cleaning or are a new facility hiring their first janitorial vendor and providing them an alternative solution while building a relationship between us that benefits both parties. My goal is to become a well-respected member of the community displaying integrity and reliability. If I can help someone else grow their business while I work on my own- I'm happy.
