Between our dry and refrigerated division, I manage 130 company and owner operators CDL drivers. I, also, work along with driver and operation mangers creating a healthy and safe work environment. My job is to make sure that drivers are compliant with the FMCSA and make sure we avoid workers compensation claims. As the driver development manager and safety manager, I have to develop plans to help retention and reduce incidents and accidents which helps our OR or operating ratio. When a driver demonstrates that he or she is a liability ( not obeying company policies/ incidents/accidents ) remedial training, counseling and termination or actions that I enforce. I currently hold a CDL and is the urinalysis collector for my division. I complete our DOT Randoms and PADT( post accident drug test) and over see our drug testing program in the southeast. With having all that said, I have been a driver manager for 6 years, a safety manager for 5 years and a commercial driver for 10 years. I have 2 AS degrees and a BA degree. I’m an alumni of Middle Georgia State University, University of Arizona and University of Phoenix. I’m trained on a various software in the logistics/ transportation industry like Genesis, As400,just to name a few.
