  Ole Risager is a I am a professional economist with experiences from academia, the business/investment world, and from the IMF and the World Bank. During the 1990s, I worked as a consultant for the World Bank on the Middle East. At that time I also taught economics at the University of Aarhus. Later I joined CBS and became full professor in 1996. In fall 2000, I applied for a full-time job at the IMF and was fortunate to get in as a Sr. Economist. I participated in missions to the Baltics and home in DC I was in particular on G3 surveillance. It was highly rewarding to follow the US economy at close distance and constantly being exposed to global economic/financial developments. Following these years, I returned to CBS. I enjoyed being an independent economist but could not a few years later decline an offer from Maersk to become Vice President-Chief Scenario Planner; a job that later was turned into a Chief Economist position. I left in fall 2007 but continued to work for Maersk through membership of APMT's Executive Risk Management Committee in den Haag; a position I held until 2015. Currently, I serve on the Board of Core German Residential II as Chairman. CGR II, led by CEO Niels Lorentz Nielsen and Deputy John Bødker, is investing in real estate in 7 cities in Germany. CGR II has produced impressive returns thanks to a strong management team including a fortunate timing of the inception of the fund. Previously, I have been a member of the Board of H+H (a manufacturing firm), Vice Chairman for Maj Invest (a mutual fund), Nordicom (a real estate business), Svenska Handelsbanken Livsforsikringsselskab (life insurance), and APMTs Executive Risk Management Board. For many years I had the pleasure of teaching international macro and investment strategies at CBS. McGraw-Hill has published some of my stuff including the book "Global Macro for Business and Investors." This book extracts some of the insights in macro and finance that are good to know in business and investment. I have also published other books on McGraw-Hill, including “Value Investing in World Equity Markets". My most recent book is “Warren Buffett - Investor and Kritiker” that came out in 2019 on Hans Reitzel/Gyldendal.
