I'd read with amazement about what Peter Lynch was doing with Fidelity Magellan... then I'd crunch compound interest with a piece of paper and a regular calculator! So that's how it all started! From there, I was always making my various hobbies profitable--buying, selling, trading, LEARNING!! Sales and marketing became an automatic part of who I was. From there, I went into sales professionally, mastering selling of one type and then moving to something entirely different. I owed quite a variety of small businesses... some more successful than others, but continuing to learn along the way. I've enjoyed doing sales training and consulting, and some small business consulting. I've also done a lot of "front of the room" training, workshops and seminars on a wide variety of topics. Most recently, I just completed a Train the Trainers certification in DiSC--in my opinion the most useful personality profile system for business purposes. Futures trading is how we got into our first house--over 20 years ago when you subscribed to a daily charting service and drew your lines by hand! I've done a little in real estate, and that's what I'm currently most excited about--but more from a creative investor approach than necessarily getting my license... but we'll see. I like having fun, helping people, and yes definitely making money! Giving matters a lot to me too!
