Additionally, this role leveraged Noel’s technical skills and background as a Finance Director and Controller, with responsibility for Statutory Accounts preparation and Audit, which included Tax co-ordination, governance and compliance. Noel also supported Technical accounting activity within Verizon under both Local and US GAAP, supported US and International cross-functional projects and represented International Accounting on SAP and Technical related accounting areas (e.g. IFRS) and was also actively engaged in Finance Transformation initiatives. Before joining Verizon, Noel held a variety of Senior Finance roles in the Telecommunications and FMCG Industries, which included two SAP implementations, overseas assignments and transformation of Corporate and Shared Service Centre functions. Noel qualified with Ernst & Young and specialized in Statutory Audit, Information Systems Audit (CISA) and Management Consultancy. Noel is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from the Ulster University and a post-graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting from Queens University Belfast.
