As a Chief Technologist responsible for VSDs, these are my current responsibilities in summary: Strategic: Organising and planning of Care Forum Meetings for VSDs; Compiling the Strategic Report for VSDs which contains the LOPP and Tech Plan Projects for Gx Stations; Compiling and reviewing of Maintenance SOW for Outages; Compiling and reviewing of QCPs for outage SOWs; Member of SCOT Committee for VSDs responsible for reviewing of Standards and Procedures; Compiling and reviewing of VSD Replacement/Refurbishment Project documentation for VSDs; Compiling and reviewing of VSD settings documents for VSDs. Operational: I am familiar with the MV and LV VSDs at Gx Power Stations; I have successfully assisted with fault finding on the sites where I have been called out if there are challenges as I have most of the communication cables, manuals and softwares for these VSDs; I have done design, installation and commissioning of MV and LV VSDs and also Soft Starters projects. OEM Equipment that I am familiar with and have built relationships with are as follows: ABB ACS5000 MV VSDs, ABB PSR1 and PEC800; Siemens G120, G130, G150 and G180; Danfoss; Schneider Electric Altivar; ZEST/WEG; ABB LV Drives ACS Range; Vacon; Yaskawa; Control Techniques/Nidec; Aucom Soft Starters; Siemens Soft Starters.
