This has greatly benefited me in my career as a consultant, start-up employee, and in picking up random hobbies like repairing my own electronics. Moments like figuring out the college application and student aid processes, because no one else in my family had done it before, imbued me with resourcefulness from an early age — those moments also made me attuned to those of us struggling to navigate the system while unbeknownst to most. I spent the first part of my career consulting public sector institutions, taking pride in the fact that I could go to lengths to figure out how to help others live better lives. Seeing how much digital technology played a hand in that, I sought an MBA and MA in International Studies to work through what it would take to democratize access to such tools. Currently, I am focused on financial inclusion and exploring ways to address the challenges that families like my own experience while living in an incomplete system.
