I believe if we can provide information in the right time, at the right place, to the right people by using AR, then it will be a great help for our daily decision making and change our lives. To achieve this vision, understanding the world is very important. To understand the world's shape, we need computer vision (e.g. SLAM). To understand the world's mean, we need AI. To understand where to place information, we need UI/UX. Only when these kinds of stuff are fully combined, AR will be widely accepted experience. I've studied and developed image-based AI during my master course, learned the algorithm of computer vision such as camera model and SLAM during my internship. Now as an AR/MR research engineer, I've combined AI and AR to develop a practical usage, measuring clothes size just by taking a photo. I will continue my research and study human-centric design UI/UX. Born in Japan, lived in China for 5 years, and my English is not so bad that I can survive. So I am everywhere I am needed :)
