Nicole Garland Email & Phone Number | I have a 2:1 honours degree in forensic psychobiology. This sparked my interest in mental health, specifically in forensic settings. I then went on to complete my nurse training as I valued the more intensive contact with people accessing services. I felt like nursing offered me the opportunity to provide the kind of care and supported I wanted to offer, in a different setting. I currently work as a staff nurse in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Unit in Dundee, Scotland. This unit covers the whole of the North East of Scotland. Prior to this I worked for two years as a staff nurse in a high security mental health hospital in West London NHS Trust. Both job roles have allowed me to view two different kinds of people who are accessing mental health services. Although different in age, both groups are in equal measures challenging and rewarding to work with. Currently I have a keen interest in secure services and the new opportunities this has for the care and treatment of young people accessing CAMHS.
