Nicole Adamson is a I am passionate about making an impact and a real difference to the communities and organisations I have the privilege of working with, and it is important to me that these organisations have a strong sense of purpose and values which align to my own. For this reason, much of my career has been in the community sector with roles covering sport, health, and community engagement, where I have been able to make an impact communities through the strategic and operational oversight of program and service delivery. I enjoy leadership and mentoring, and was thrilled to have been selected for and completed the 2020 Australian Sports Commission Sport Executive Talent Program, and lead the work which won the 2021 National Sports and Physical Activity Convention Awards – Sports Technology category. I have held a variety of Non-Executive Board Director positions, completed the AICD Foundations of Directorship program, and have led a variety of subcommittees across People and Culture, Governance, and Commercialisation. I enjoy stakeholder engagement, and I regularly facilitate and chair working groups to employ a collaborative approach to ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for all stakeholders. In addition, I habitually undertake public speaking opportunities, with highlights including presentations at conferences such as the World Strategy and Innovation Conference, Chief Strategy Officer Summit, National Preventative Health Summit, and World Congress of Sport Sciences, along with sessional lecturing at Deakin University School Faculty of Business and Law, Sports Management. My leadership philosophies include creating genuine connections with people, and are characterised by a strong sense of values, being easy to relate to and most importantly understanding individual learning styles and motivations to create high performing teams. I am a high performing and achieving individual with the trait of being emotionally aware and people focused.
